I’m also going to bring back Glass Guess… so stay tuned! See you the week of 10/17!!

Time to get back to Glass Guess! Sorry it’s been so sporadic lately. I’m hoping to get back into a routine now that most of the craziness is almost over for the time being… we’ll see!
I haven’t given away a hollow pendant in awhile so that’s what you’re playing for this week. It’s orange and avocado green with a black and white twistie wound around it.
It’s going to be a quick game this week because I leave for the Cabin Retreat I host for beadmakers tomorrow afternoon. So get your guesses in quickly! I’m thinking of a number between 1 ~ 200. One guess per person until tomorrow (Thursday) at noon. If no one has it at that point you’re free to take as many guesses as you want until the number is chosen. (I’ll give you some hints at that point to help you out)
Have fun and thanks for playing!
I give up!! 😉 I just can’t seem to keep this blog going. But I am having a lot of fun keeping everyone up to date over at my Fan Page on Facebook. So if you’d like to keep up with my bead/jewelry life come join me!
Hope to see you there soon!
I’m feeling a new style coming on! One of the necklaces I made to wear at the ISGB Gathering got a lot of positive reaction this year. I like to make beads with Check Glass from my buddies John Hurlbert and Jan Burrows to show people just how cool their colors are. So I thought it would be fun to make beads with no surface decorations to showcase the fun, bright colors. But I wanted to do something different to make them more interesting. Hence my nugget style hollows! It’s fun to push the glass around and see how many facets I can get on one bead. I think I’ll be making more of these soon… 😉
I finally did it! After months of procrastination (see my post on Watch Me Create), I finally had time to get some of my jewelry listed over on Etsy. I’m still a little too sore to get on our boat. So when Dave and friends headed over to the lake, I headed out to the backyard and started taking pictures!
The result is some earrings, a couple pendants and one of my Treasure necklaces ready and waiting for new homes in my Etsy store! I’m going to try to keep updating it every couple days and will give you the heads up here first.
It sure feels good to follow through on one of my resolutions… And to think, it’s only June! Who knows what else I’ll get done this year… 😉
Another Cabin Retreat is in the books! That makes six retreats in the last five years. It is so fun gathering people from all over the country for a weekend of sharing, bead making and demos.
I’ve come home with several fun projects to work on. We played with PMC this year and I can see so many different things I can do to incorporate pieces into my work. And I can’t wait to get my torch hooked back up so I can work on some abstract, tentacle looking beads to put into a necklace for a wedding I’m going to in a few weeks!
I’ll be back with pictures of my projects soon…
